Make Griffin Island Campground your first choice for a fun yet relaxing getaway. Enjoy Douglas Lake recreation and the amenities of camping at Griffin Island Campground. Explore our 14-Acre Private Island, play a game of horse shoes, swim, relax, rent a paddle boat or bring your fishing gear and fish. Douglas Lake has over 550 miles of shoreline and is rated one of the top five crappie fishing lakes in the nation, also in the top ten in the nation for largemouth bass. Other popular sports fish species include sauger, black crappie, walleye, catfish and bluegill.
Camper rentals are available on the landside and on the 14 acre island. For island rentals, we will transport you to your rental at arrival and departure.
Each camper rental is equipped with a full bath, air conditioning, stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, a tv with dvd player and grill.
Guests are responsible for bringing their own soaps, linens, blankets, pillows, towels and toiletries. It is ideal to bring your own camping chairs.
There are no bath houses on the landslide or island. There is no internet or WIFI.
We have a large, two level deck overlooking beautiful Douglas Lake and views of the Tennessee Mountains. The top level has lounge chairs for those of you who wish to lay back and enjoy the sun. The bottom level has a patio set, large grill and double sink.

Things to know:
- Holidays require a 3 night minimum. Otherwise we require a 2 night minimum.
- Guest must provide their own linens, blankets, towels, pillows and toiletries.
- We recommend that you bring your camping chairs.
- We do not have cable, internet or wi-fi.
- Check In is after 12 PM
- Check Out is by 10 AM
- For island rentals, one round trip boat ride is included in price to guests. A small fee will be charged for subsequent trips.
- If you would like to bring your own boat, call for price quote on docking facilities.
- Either Visa/MasterCard/Discover is required for security deposit and damage deposit.
- A $100.00 security deposit is required at the time of booking your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, the security deposit will be refunded back to you if cancelled before 48 hours of your check-in date. During holidays, reservation must be cancelled before 72 hours of your check-in date. If your reservation hasn't been cancelled within the required time, the security deposit will not be refunded.
- Upon arrival, your security deposit turns into your damage deposit. The $100.00 damage deposit will be refunded back to your card if no damages were made during your stay. If the camper was damaged with a value over $100.00 then we will charge your card the additional cost to replace what you damaged.
- We do not charge a cleaning fee upfront however after your stay if the camper(s) require extra cleaning, we will charge your card a cleaning fee. The cleaning fee amount will depend on how messy the camper was left. A minimum of $25.00 and a maximum of $150.00 will be charged to your card.

Things to know:
- Life jackets are required per person. $1.00 per life jacket rental.
- Either Visa/MasterCard/Discover required for security deposit and damage deposit.
- A security deposit for paddle boat rentals is required at the time of booking your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, the security deposit will be refunded back to you if cancelled before 24 hours of rental date. During holidays, reservation must be cancelled before 48 hours of rental date.
- Upon arrival, your security deposit turns into your damage deposit. The damage deposit will be refunded back to your card if no damages were made to the paddle boat.
